"Nova Bridge Bearings – Engineered for Strength, Built for Stability."
Nova Engineering has supplied high quality Bridge Bearings and Structural Bearings to the South African market since 1964. All bridge bearings are designed to the provisions of BS5400 Part 9, SANS 1806, SANS 10326 and COLTO specifications. All bearings are manufactured at our own premises in Johannesburg.
Nova bridge bearings are designed to safely accommodate the various movements and rotations that are imposed on structures. The main cause of these movements and rotations may be due to some, or all, of the following factors acting on the structure:
Our range of structural bearings includes:

Over the years, Nova Engineering Works has successfully completed hundreds of bearing contracts in all provinces of South Africa, as well as in other African countries. These projects range from single structures requiring but a few bearings, to large multi structure projects where many bearings were required. From structures requiring small bearings of a few hundred kN capacity to structures requiring large bearings with a vertical capacity in excess of 20000kN. Our bearings have been used in all types of structures including road bridges, rail bridges, river bridges, single and multi span bridges, pipelines, silos, precipitators, roofs, etc. Lists of successfully completed projects may be accessed below.
